Does Payday Budget connect to my bank?
No. You enter the numbers you want to plan with. The app does not connect to bank accounts, cards, payroll providers, or financial institutions.
What does Safe to Spend mean?
It is a planning amount that considers your cleared balance, expected pay before the next payday, required bills, and cash floor. It is not a bank balance, account guarantee, credit decision, or financial advice. Check your real accounts before making a purchase.
What is included for free?
Free includes a local pay-cycle plan with up to five required bills. Reserve Pro is a one-time purchase that unlocks unlimited required bills, custom reminder timing, a 12-month future plan, a Home Screen widget, and CSV export. Pricing is shown by the App Store for your storefront.
How do backups work?
Payday Budget encrypts a backup before writing it to private iCloud Drive or exporting it as a file. Keep the recovery key somewhere safe. You need that key to restore a backup on another device, and ByteEra Labs cannot retrieve it for you.
How do I restore Reserve Pro?
Open Settings, choose Reserve Pro, and select Restore purchases. Apple verifies any eligible prior purchase made with the Apple Account currently used for Media & Purchases. Payday Budget does not use a separate account.
Are bill reminders sent to a server?
No. If you enable reminders, they are scheduled locally on your iPhone. You can turn them off at any time in Settings or iOS notification settings.
