Privacy Policy

This policy explains how FocalYou collects, uses, shares, retains, protects, and deletes photos and face data.

Face Data We Collect and Use

For creative generation, FocalYou collects the complete source portrait you select, including visible facial information, and processes the generated photos, which may also contain visible facial information. We use this face data only to create and deliver the photo series you request, operate and secure that request, and troubleshoot a failed request. FocalYou does not use Face ID or TrueDepth data, create biometric templates, recognize or verify identity, build profiles, advertise, track, sell face data, or use face data for any unrelated purpose.

On-Device Face Analysis

For the local document-photo tool, Apple Vision temporarily calculates face count, face bounds, roll, yaw, resolution, and framing on your device only after you confirm local analysis. FocalYou does not collect or upload the selected photo, face rectangles, or pose values through this feature. These temporary values are discarded when the editing session ends. Document acceptance is not guaranteed.

Face Data Sharing and Disclosure

Each time you choose Send to OpenAI & Generate, FocalYou sends the selected complete portrait, including visible facial information, and the fixed instruction for your selected template to FocalYou backend services, Supabase, and OpenAI. Supabase provides private storage, database, and backend processing. OpenAI performs the requested image edit. We share face data with these providers only to fulfill the generation request you authorized; they may not use it for their own advertising, profiling, or unrelated purposes. OpenAI states that API data is not used to train its models unless the API customer opts in, and FocalYou does not opt in.

Face Data Retention

Supabase stores a creative source portrait privately only while its generation job runs. FocalYou normally deletes the source immediately after the job succeeds or fails and deletes every residual source within 24 hours. OpenAI may retain API request content in abuse-monitoring logs for up to 30 days, unless a longer period is required by law or is reasonably necessary to prevent harm. Generated photos remain in the private FocalYou Gallery for up to 30 days unless you delete them sooner. On-device face-analysis values are not retained after the editing session.

Revoke Consent and Delete Face Data

You control each use of face data. Selecting a photo creates only a local preview. You may withhold or revoke consent for a proposed upload by choosing Cancel and not choosing Send to OpenAI & Generate; FocalYou will not upload the portrait, create a job, or deduct credits. Consent is requested again for every creative upload, so declining a later request stops any new collection or use.

To delete face data already submitted, delete individual generated photos in Gallery, or open Settings → Delete FocalYou Data to delete source photos that remain, generated photos, generation history, feedback, and support content. You may also request access or deletion through in-app Support or postmaster@byteera-labs.com.

Service Provider Protection

FocalYou requires Supabase and OpenAI to provide the same or equal protection for face data as stated in this policy, use it only to provide their contracted service, and retain it only for the periods described above. FocalYou also uses HTTPS, private storage, access controls, and short-lived image links. Providers may process data outside your country under applicable transfer safeguards.

Other Information and Contact

FocalYou uses a protected App Store-derived account identifier for credits and Gallery access, purchase records for fulfillment and fraud prevention, an ephemeral DeviceCheck token for one-time offer eligibility, support messages, and feedback. Optional product analytics never includes photos, prompts, email addresses, or image contents. We do not sell personal information or use data for tracking. For access, correction, export, restriction, objection, or deletion requests, use Support in Settings or email postmaster@byteera-labs.com.
